  • Hagler's opponents did seem to tend toward the brawler/****er variety so maybe a quality mover might stand the best chance.

Sonnyboy and dan think they are boxing experts when neither could even tell you how to throw a jab, parry it or even shape up. It's laughable and pathetic

Fools like them would b laughed at in boxing gyms
"Fools"??? the only fool on this site is you little boy. your knowledge of boxing history stretches all the way back to Paulie Mallignaggi LOL

Agreed many great people are never acknowledged.

I live outside of Tokyo, an old area, and there are 90 year old guys teaching various things, pottery, sword making, kendo, paper making and calligraphy, to name a few. Any way, I watch these guys on the weekend do their thing, some of the things I have seen are amazing.

        Peace out!
ah ze mussels from brussels! Your in a great area.

As we wind down the days from the second world war generation....and Japanese people live long, so you will run into more than a few 90 year olds...my dad who is fighting the use of his walker presently and not the Japanese on the pacific islands, was a marine in the second world war. but as they say when studying and memorizing japanese vowel sounds "ah we soon get old soon"

A lot of the classic martial art teachers changed their relationship to the power structure, the second world war being a complex issue for Japan that defies description in a post. But my point is one could run into some very talented teachers from bygone days I would imagine!
