I don't "take shots" at anybody.

I call people out when they expose their lack of knowledge of the sport. Especially when you're as obnoxious as Ray is.

And that seems to happen often with said person.

But to each his own, if you are arrogant enough to believe you have that authority, well we all know how Sonny sounds when he gets to thinking his opinions make him "knowledgable."

Statments that are enitrely false and often laughable such as "Freddie Steele doesn't have enough pop to keep Hagler off him" in this thread aren't a one off, it's a regular occurrence. I would be here all day if I had to list them.

If you believe in fairy tales that's your problem.

When i read Ray's piece about Freddie Steele (above) i scratched my head thinking, "What is he talking about" i have 3 fights on film of Freddie Steele and he is exceptional. Freddie Steele was a very aggressive two-fisted fighter, he was trained by the Great Ray Arcel and has an incredible fighting resume. Ray's downfall is that, when he looks on Boxrec at a fighters record, he cannot read that record like some of us do in historical terms, looking for strengths and weakness in the fighters overall record..IMO Hagler would have his work cut out to beat Freddie Steele.

i don't think my opinions make me knowledgeable.. my problem is that my english is very poor, so i write it like i talk it. (so my wife tells me) but if you read my posts i use a lot of "IMO".. but don't for one minute think i am not a "wealth of knowledge" on this sport. i am a hardcore follower of the sport for 50yrs.. but IMO is just my opinion, so you can take it or leave it.

thats actually interesting, what is your first language? If thats true then that would explain some things. its the need you, and other's have to make ad hominum attacks, attacking the person and not the argument that I am referring to. But I will say this: you do seem to misinterpret posts sometimes and if there is a legitimate reason for this then I can certainly give you that befit of the doubt.

I certainly don't question your knowledge, but at times you seem to believe that fighters you don't care for have a lot more reasons why they won, than are logically possible. That truly gets absurd at times Sonny.

We all occasionally stand to be corrected...thats life, thats the nature of epistemology.

I think you probably know that despite your disagreements with Ray he has experience and worked as a trainer. I dealt with martial arts frauds and know the signs of when someone is inventing their experiences and I would stake my reputation that Ray is legit.

You just don't like him Dan. Instead of admitting that you claim some high ground that the wool is not pulled over your eyes. You specifically hate the use of Boxrec to make a point...actually I agree with you on that. I also hate your slavish devotion to Floyd, but I don't think your floyd nutsucking detrachts from your knowledge as a poster, and even if I did unless it becomes an issue during a debate, I figure its my problem and not yours.

its all good, you don't extend the same courtesy...but don't make some self righteous BS claim about the wool being pulled over other's eyes...ridiculous.
