theres more who were capable, when solid fighters fight one another they could easily split between them.
Toney and Jones were not top all time middleweights they were much more accomplished at ligh heavy.
Hopkins against the best would get out worked, at one time he was much better than the past 15 years Hopkins but then again fans today don't know what their watching anyways. Their like novice horse racing fans its about the catchy nick name or trunk colors! HA!

Somebody boxrec'd his KO%. Aside from Langford, Ketchel, Walker who are some of the hardest punchers all-time and proved their power above their natural weights Steele is possibly the hardest hitter on that list.

He turned pro at age 13 and fought his teens at welterweight but towards the end of his run there and his tear through 160 he was one of the hardest punching middleweight champions the division has seen.

your correct.. but we are dealing with a bunch of clowns here who know Jack about the sport or it's history.

Here is what Hagler had to say about it.

As i have said previously, "Take away the Hearns broken right-hand win" and Haglers resume is very ordinary.

John Ruiz who fought at World Level for 10yrs taking part in 12 Heavyweight Championship of the World Title Fights..

Ruiz would knock Hagler into the ground like a tent-peg.. Hagler only fought little guys from the lower weight divisions: Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Mugabi, Antuofermo..

Talk about "Hate of a Fighter" at this sentence.."""nobody should ever mention Ruiz in here again he was a disgrace to the heavyweight division period. Even a little guy like Jones beat him and that should never happen to even a half decent heavyweight, """..... A Discrace to the Heavyweight Division??????????? a two time champion "a disgrace" ???? LOL he lost to Jones who was barely a light heavyweight, I saw that fight and it was the most pathetic performance i ever saw so he either was a pathetic fighter or he threw the fight. Ruiz doesn't rate in the top 100 heavyweights ever, hell Lucas Browne would have beat the Ruiz i saw fight Jones.

Ruiz was the two time winner of just one of the very many belts on offer, hardly a world champion, we don't have world champs often, the last one I can remember was Tszyu who unified the title, I am sure there have been one or two since but the only real world champions are those who unify the title, a minimum of three belts, preferably five belts.

Robinson the greatest ever, but people act like he was invincible at any weight when clearly anything above welter, he was beatable... Let alone vs a guy like hagler.. Hagler would smash guys like basilio and fullmer just like he did *****ho and hearns
Basilio was an awesome fighter at least on a par with Hagler, I am not sure how you can be so adamant.

I seriously doubt it. I'm no fan of Ruiz but he did at least beat some top ranked heavyweights. Lucas Browne is a fraud who has done absolutely nothing to believe this.

I don't believe it. If a person looks at BoxRec that makes them a fraud. When I see something impressive out of the accusers, I might take them seriously. What I see around here is opinion stated as fact and idiotic ideas touted as revelations. The rest of the time is spent on accusations that others know nothing. You guys just don't get it: Your opinions are not facts! It is too late for Sonny to get a real life. What about you? You are a young man, aren't you? You like to join in picking on inoffensive people when you see others doing it, don't you? You have a pack mentality. Thanks for such a fine service to us all. Aren't you needed back at the motorcycle gang?
