Using boxing skills alone the only man I'd think who could have a strong shot is Sugar Ray. If Leonard couldn't then any of the other high caliber men will be at a disadvantage because of length and knowing how to use it.
Tommy at 6'1" isn't that much bigger than Robinson at 5'11".
Not sure how they're going to "just box" to a decision without mixing it up but what the hell if you pay a fighter well enough they'll be in!

Hearns is listed as 6'1" but i would have to say he is more 6'2".. i am 5'11" and i have a photo of myself with Tommy and he towers over me.

Boxing boots aren't the same height as dress shoes.
I've stood next to Tommy also in the gym and he looked to be 6' maybe 6'1"
He was sparring with Marlon Starling who is 5'8". I'm pretty good at guessing height & weight.
Either way he was very tall compared to the vast majority from 147 to 160lbs.

I think prime Hearns would clean out the current WW division.

Perhaps someone as elite as Ray Robinson but it is hard to imagine someone out boxing him. Maybe out slugging him.

I'm confident that Hearns was closer to 6'3 than 6'2. It's similar to when they claimed Paul Williams was only 6'1. Hearns and Williams towered over all of their 6'0 opponents.

In Hearns fight with James Shuler both were listed at 6-1. During the staredown Hearns looked noticeably taller than Shuler.

I also believe he was closer to 6-3 and I remember he was listed as 6-2 and a half when he fought at light heavyweight for some of his fights. The Virgil Hill fight might have been one of them.

Not close from what I saw on youtube although one of the judges scored it that way I believe. From what I remember seeing it really wasn't a close fight.

How conveniently everyone has dismissed Tommy's glass jaw as a mere nuisance. Even Hagler who not a particularly hard one shot puncher, sent him cuckoo. Fighters with a decent jaw would have survived those shots. Hearns loses to Robinson early. When they exchange punches it will be Tommy who cannot take Ray's power. All Ray has to do is slip one punch and the fight is over. Aren't opinions wonderful?
