Lloyd Marshall and Bert Lytell Overrated

I'm pretty sure no one have ever considered Lloyd Marshall or Bert Lytell ATG fighters.

I have read on another forum Matt McGrain having them both high at middleweight but whether that constitutes him considering them as ATG's I don't know.

That should be the case but it isn;t completely the case, I have been arguing with a few guys over this.

McGrain is still adjusting the list as he is obviously wrong about half of it but he isn't fully up to speed with the great middles yet, he say's its a work inprogress atm.

yes and I have a problem with that, when I investigate deeply into some of those guys they just don't cut the mustard, good fighters but not great, Maybe Williams is and Burley, those guys were very dangerous but so were a hundred middleweights since the Nonpariel have been.

Well if there's people considering them ATG's then yeah they are overrating them but I would say that view is extremely seldom.

Like I said, barely anyone even knows who Bert Lytell is and he isn't even in the HOF.

Yeah..... I say they should be rated as dangerous fighters, lets face it if you were a middleweight pro and you end your career and can say oh well many say I am in the top 500 middleweights ever then you would have a right to be proud and called a real tough bastard and a very good and dangerous fighter.

I've mentioned him before and i've also seen him mentioned on other forums on the net quite a bit usually in the context of someone who is underrated.

Well I didn't mean it literally. Just that he is generally disregarded and hardly overrated.
