I've been reading through this and wow. The pic of Lewis not looking cut and using that as something saying he isn't juicing? That doesn't prove anything, just that if he was on it then he wasn't training hard enough. I like that everyone thinks PED makes your gains easier. You need to work out twice as hard or you flab up (why the Lewis pic says nothing) and the core reason to use PEDs is to let you train harder and longer as well as recover faster. PEDs alone do not increase power that much, it's the added training. If you max your bench at 300 for one rep then go on PEDs you could probably do about 325 and half of that is mental however you could now do that 300 for 5+ reps.

An average fighter could become a world champion if he were to go on PEDs but he has to have the skill first and foremost. The issue here is that if he can't get there without PEDs then he most likely wasn't pushing his training hard enough with the exception of maybe his opponents are using them and able to train that much harder.

PEDs only give you what you put in, that's all there is to it.

You are talking physiological placebo effect not performance enhancing drugs.

A fully-trained non-elite level boxer who decides to get on a doping program will begin to distant himself from his natural level by a margin limited only by the potential of the drugs c.ocktail in his body.

Your entire post could'nt be more wrong. Most fighters cannot get to the level their at if they were to be on Peds no matter how much they push there training, peds will always over ride ones own limits naturally.Peds does make your gains easier it shortens recovery time therefor also making you much stronger.Much easier being artificially enhanced then trying to do everything naturally which takes a hell of a lot more energy and effort. Not working hard on peds will do nothing but get you less gains...muscle does not turn into fat its impossible ,the two have nothing to do with the other...you can only burn fat off,or lose muscle and shrink. The only time being on peds/high dose Roids will be harder is if you were a 250/300 pound bodybuilder as that is a lot of maintenance, just on the food intake alone.

Have you guys used PEDs or just read **** on the internet?

I already said that they need the foundation to make it regardless of the PEDs. I also said it allows you to push yourself further/harder/longer and that yes creates more strength. That isn't the PED giving you the strength, it's giving you the ability to build it. I never said muscle turns to fat. Learn to read. If you're on PEDs, it's a very high maintenance diet whether it is boxing or weight lifting and if you slack on the effort you will fatten up.

As for joe, I am not talking a placebo effect. The point of that statement if he has the skill set to be a champion but not the physical abilities then he probably wasn't training hard enough to make it in the first place. Adding PEDs will allow him to train harder and what feels like the same effort will actually be harder then he was before. That's where a 300lb bench for 1 rep becomes 5+ reps. You aren't stronger, just able to push yourself harder.

Here comes some flaming but depending on the type of weed and how you are when you smoke it, training can actually improve. It increases your ability to handle the lactic burn and push through it. I'm not saying to do it and it's better for say pushing out more pushups then lifting heavy.

You clearly stated you have to work harder to maintain muscle on peds ,its clearly false, along with the notion excess size will turn to fat, which again you clearly said one will FLAB up.You are also bringing nonsensical comparisons of body building /weight training when peds used for fighting its a totally different matter. To think PEDS wont give even a miniscule edge no matter what you put in to your training is not true .You could have the worst diet in the world and still look like a greek god on legal supplements combined with illegal ones .At the end of the day not being on peds is alot more maintenance because then you do have to have near perfect diet and natural recovery abilities along with depending on your own natural genetics no twist of words will ever change that. .

Keep your guard up man, you've taken too many shots to the head. You are adding to what I am saying in your mind and claiming it's what I said.

I said you have to work harder or you flab up. If you slack off you will most likely not adjust your caloric intake and start to get flabby. I never said anything about maintaining your size or excess size will turn to fat...you said I said that. Different scenarios with weight lifting and boxing but it's the same situation. Your body doesn't give a **** what it's doing, if you aren't burning mass amounts of calories then you will fatten up some. I'm not saying you turn into Peter Griffin, you're just not going to be cut. As for the bench press reference it is an example.

My last statement from my first post... "PEDs only give you what you put in, that's all there is to it"...is the simplest you can put PEDs. If you work your ass off then you will have great results. If you half ass it you will get half ass results. Once you stop PEDs and adjust your diet accordingly whatever you managed to get for size and strength will mostly stay provided you maintain working out hard to keep it there.

Size will mostly go away when you stop peds ....my last sentance of the last reply sums it up ..your position was being on peds is harder because you work more and that is false ,its much easier to work more if you are enhanced .You can keep denying you didnt say this or that ,you were the one who laughed off that taking PEDS makes things easier ,i dont know why because it does .Body building /power lifting is nothing at all like boxing when using peds ,fighters arent pushing 100 % of their abilities every day because that would be counter productive ,it requires a lot more physical strength in the weight liftiing world which requires much more high dose peds they are simply just worrying about looks or strength ...PEDS in the boxing world is much more simplistic.peds are mostly used for endurance outside the HW division.keep my guard up ?Seems like you were the one who got hit in this debate....

post in a logical progression, you are stammering!

Yes, I give examples to explain my points sorry that is beyond your pea brain...Yes you are an idiot...Yes you are too ****** to grasp the idea of how a concept, like a Ko has many elements to it...both you and SB are comical trying to explain a KO in a one dimensional manner when actually? quite a few things happen to produce a Ko. The net result is pathetic...

Your an idiot indeed. Your simplistic thinking and desire to show your ignorance at every turn is annoying. now stop stammering and do some research on the subject ok?

You are a fool who jumped into a debate regarding what a direct hit to the chin does and interupted it with examples of choke holds and neck blows which NO one was discussing .....

You have now posted a dozen comments on this thread, all without addressing the Question which the thread asks... Was Lennox Lewis taking PEDs??

                      my answer is: Yes
