This is rubbish... Height, weight, size, speed etc means nothing, when getting punched. All humans have a nerve in our chin, when that nerve is punched it cuts off the oxygen supply to the brain. hence, this is how the knock out occurs... no amount of steroids will protect that nerve in your chin, you cannot build muscle around that nerve in the human chin. This is why boxers hold their gloves up over their chin, to protect the chin nerve.

Steroids have little to do with it ,but size does,if this wasn't the case weight classes wouldn't been implemented.Secondly, I highly doubt you really do know what you are talking about again, because a knockout when hit on the chin accures when the brain hits or rattles in the inner skull or temporarily shifting it slightly causing equilibrium failure or blackout, not a nerve cutting off oxygen,,...that's pretty dumb coming from a knowledable boxing enthusiast,i dare anyone to say otherwise...a nerve on the chin that cuts off oxygen????Really as opposed to the brain rattling back and forth?...lmao! ive also been in martial arts a long time so good luck with this one as well........

        Two ignoramuses regarding knockouts:

First there is not a "knockout" there are in fact many ways one can be Koed.
But both Jugghead and SonnyBoy have the need to right so...we get the rubbish this section is rapidly becoming. Anyhow regarding Ko's

        1) What Sonnygirl refers to is when hit properly on the chin, there is literally no place for the head to take the force, this involves a frontal punch. The result is that the brain is indeed thumped against the skull in back...rapidly causing a neurological shutdown in this case due to the rapidity of the brain hitting the back of the skull.

        2) Most other Kos do involve the skull sloshing and hitting the skull in various ways...the chin is a good target for many because if you catch it properly you get a whiplash without the aid of the whole head taking some of the force away. This is why many ko's involve a short blow to the chin tip area and the head suddenly turning rapidly....the body does neurologically shut down from this sloshing.

        3) One can be Koed through a rapid change in blood pressure with a blow to the neck side, one can also have the brain shoot fowards as the blow is deliverd to the back of the skull...prefarably right on the ridge of the skull at a slight angle because we want the shortest path of the brain travelling to hit the skull and rebound. Regarding the blow to the side of the neck this is different: Sorry jughead go back to school...many cateroid chokes also take advantage of changes in blood pressure rapidly produced to choke...as a matter of fact Gene Lebell was quoted (a man who knows chokes and holds) as saying among others that the theory that cutting off blood supply to the brain produces a choke, is not so....I tend to think that both factors play a role in the process...although your body can survive with no oxygen via the blood going to the head for a while if you think about it!

Of course the other choke, ko is a cutoff of your air supply.

So, chokes involve a few mechanisms... and while weight and size ar factors, so are technique. Me? I teach chokes in such a way that one does not even tense the arm... so size has little to do with proper choking technique per se....It helps but having good technique also helps.

When Holyfield fought Tyson he didn't even tire at all! Just as fresh at the end of the fight it was scary

PS Lennox didn't need to use PEDS, he had so many natural advantages, strength size etc why would he need to

What natural advantages does Lennox hold over other champions of his era 1992-2003 Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko, Rid**** Bowe, Corrie Sanders ?

We are talking about how a knock out happens when hit on the chin ,Sonny said theres a nerve there that shuts down oxygen which is F'Ing hilarious ,and i described how the brain rattles in the same matter you did without the story book versionso you're just talking out your azz again ....

                    No idiot

You made it appear in the substance of what you wrote that the effect of the brain hitting the skull is virtually the only type of ko and the only mechanism involved with a ko. Sonny boy did likewise when he described the neurological mechanism and even stated that there is a nerve in the chin (oy vay).

In fact there are many ways a Ko can happen and there is neurological reaction as well as physical forces involving the brain...like as described in the post. There are also different types of knockouts... you should be aware of them if you are a martial artist...

oh and it does not matter where the ko happens. For example, a punch with no glove and with the fist kept vertical can be used to hit the chin in such a way that what ko's the person is not a whiplash of the brain in the skull, but direct trauma to the brain stem and the inability of the head to move in any direction to dissopate force. a strike to the neck, the side of the chin, can cause a sudden change in blood pressure and drop a person or it can cause trauma to the spinal cord....

This lack of insight has become typical since you and Sonny started ****ting up this section.

Many or different ways wasn't the subject"OBVIOUSLY:"...you posted the same situation I did thinking it made you relevant...sorry it did;t as posted by the ORIGINAL argument...a shot to the chin causes brain movement whatever which way...i'll save the idiotic details to you as now your going from the one punch chin k.o to chokes and even the neck to sound smart though no one but YOU brought them up???lmao....you sure you want to address me as idiot?I may be new here but i'll embarrass your azz just keep posting with me and we'll see who knows what?
