        Unfortunately, those slugfests would have been his undoing against someone like Hagler, or even Nunn. Frank and Vito, however, would have been a nice fight.

          Correct, but no-one is claiming Frank Fletcher to be a world beater. What we are all claiming is, "His Kill or be Killed style of fighting" and the incredible wars he took part in, was edge of the seat sport. Which is sadly not to be seen in boxing since those days of Frank "the animal" Fletcher.. He was one of the greatest value-for-money fighters of the last 35yrs.

            Actually, I'd say it was seen in the day of Arturo Gatti and to some extent, with guys now like GGG and Kovalev. But yes, much less common these days. Use to even see it with Cotto.
