The Hardest Puncher in Boxing History ?

Speed is only a linear factor in generating power, just like mass. I can flick someone faster than I can hit them with a power punch. F=MA, force equals mass times acceleration. Of the two factors, speed remains more constant. The mass (how much leverage the boxer can get into his blow) varies through much more of its range than the acceleration does, since many punches are arm punches. Representing the mass more effectively is what a fighter needs to work on to generate power. Tyson represented his mass in the equation much better than Foreman did.

Tyson at 220 pounds would certainly hit harder since he had speed also.

Would you EVER pass up a chance to take a shot at Lennox Lewis, a fighter you claim to have no grudge against? Not likely. It's becoming pathetic.

Abe Simon, Buddy Baer, Primo Carnera were all bigger men than what Lennox Lewis is. Joe Louis kod the three of them. Lewis former promoter Lou Duva described Lennox Lewis as "Another Carnera".. size is meaningless, if Lewis was fighting in the 30s or 40s he would weigh no more than 220lb maximum and most likely 210lb. Lennox Lewis punching power was simply not in the same league as Joe Louis punching power. Joe Louis often poleaxed an opponent with a punch which traveled no more than 6ins.

People often ridicule Carnera when he was freakishly strong, and looked to have very low body fat. he was no slouch as they say. True about the bigger men as well....Louis had incredible punching and part of it was because of the short delivery, Lennox Lewis has more heavy handed power that travels fairly wide. Louis was a much more devistating puncher per se.
