I wanna see another puncher like Thomas Hearns' so badly. Thats my favourite kind of power, the leverage off of a fast, beautifully thrown straight right with ace technique.

God imagine Hearns today. The guy wouldnt even be able to land a damn fight no promoters would let their stars anywhere near him.

So since the year 2000, who are the greatest punchers in the sport?

Off the top of my head, Id have to say Pacquiao, can't really think of anyone else who has scored one punch KOs over a calibre of fighter such as a Ricky Hatton.

        Kostya Tszyu as well maybe?

        W. Klitschko yes, but his calibre of opposition is average, plus his best wins came via decision (Povetkin and Haye)

Tito came to mind, but his best work came before the year 2000.
        Haye perhaps.....
Juan Ma when he was cutting the ring off and not trying to just head hunt.

I agree that there haven't been any punchers like that since 2000. Especially in the lower weight classes like welterweight.

Mosley..yeah but idk if he's a true one punch guy. That said his stoppage of Margs was very impressive.
If we're talking about 2000 and up I think Trinidad belongs there with the brutal knockouts of Joppy and Vargas alone. I would put him there before Oscar or Mosley.

JMM? Gatti? Mayorga??? Bailey? loool How many top, truly world level guys did they KO? Apart from the aberration that was Pac/JMM. For those same reasons can't have Miranda up there.

Donaire is a great inclusion though.

Wilder has never KO'D a world class guy. I guess he can't punch.

marquez' power is overrated on the merit of the pacquiao KO. he hooked up with a steroid guru, and went through a second puberty at 38 years old.

bailey was a freakish puncher. there are plenty of guys with stoppages and knockouts of "world level" guys who can't hold candle to bailey's punching power. his right hand was a gift from god.

I agree regarding Bailey. His power bailed him out of a one sided decision loss to Mike Jones. He had true one punch power. That's pretty much all he had.
