      Don't know great amount of details, but Potgieter went to the UK "on tour" and retired mid-way through it claiming he was no good at the sport.

      Then when he changed his mind and tried to come back he had medical issues and struggled to get a license.

        Jim Cully who fought his pro debut in Ireland was also listed as 7'2".

          Your correct Bear, but Cully only fought in southern Ireland were my question say's the U.K.

                Didn't other fighters from that time call their rights Mary Ann? Yeah. Someone who fought Willard before Dempsey.

                  correct guys.. iron mike and Mary ann was the names Dempsey used. Hence Iron`Mike Tyson with the wall haircut, no robe, no socks, black shorts.
