Roberto Duran is without doubt one of the greatest fighters who ever lived at lightweight. his skills are unseen in today's fighters, his ringcraft unseen in today's fighters. Duran is one of the greatest fighters who ever lived But. it is debatable just where he ranks on the list of greatest fighters. does he rank at No2 ? certainly not, is my opinion. great tho he was, he is not the No2 of all times. What is his position in the All Time Rankings? IMO 5-15

Well lets not forget the Klitschko brothers!

Duran was a great fighter. hard to start speculating who, aside from the Sugar Man, is in the top 5.

for some reason I am not able to reply with a quote. in regards to the second post I have never read Robinson making that comment about Duran but have read him thinking highly of José napoles. Duran himself rated his career accomplishments lower than Robinson siting that he lacked Ray's commitment to conditioning and training in portions of his career.

I am very certain I read that quote from Robinson somewhere, but I do apologize. I myself could not find it anywhere on the web. And I did read that Duran himself rated Robinson ahead. Sorry for the confusion, folks!

Robby was referring to an old training tape of Duran (now banned) where he was at a stable and KTFO several horses with single punches. No horse beat the count.

Durans a top ten all time great. Not number 2 though but if we are talking about all round ability i can see an argument for him there. He was so well rounded.

SRR, SRL, Duran, Ali, Whitaker, Charles.

All such well rounded and skilled fighters. The best ever in my opinion.
