hard to say. u could see his power wasnt nearly as formidable at lightheavy so it would only be less at cruiser. I could see him potshotting his way to decision wins tho

Gomez was a very good cruiserweight. That would have been a high risk, low reward fight for Jones.

Don't know about Gomez but Jones's career would have went a bit better if he didn't decide to starve back to light heavyweight.

That's a great post form an unlikely source. Probably THE most unlikely source! LOL.

Anyway I think he'd had done well at CW but it's a bit up in the air. His performance at HW would have been "grab what you can". At CW he would have done very well but whether it would have been championship quality would have been speculative (considering of course a sustained stay at CW, not like his HW debut).

Jirov was calling him out from 2000 on when he first talked about moving up Jones wanted no part of him. He would have done what Tarver did but worse.
