One thing I would bet my life savings on is that if there is no knockout, Marciano's will be saved by a doctor due to the combination of having some of the weakest skin out of all the champions and Ali's punching(especially the jab) causing the most facial damage out of all of them.

Maybe if Rock stood in front of him and let Ali tee off on his face, but Marciano is too slick a fighter, too high of a ring IQ to let Ali touch him often. Marciano would slip his jabs and go to the body and take away his legs.

You are very clearly trolling now. Are you bored of NSB or something?

Bs. When did Rocky display this sense of defense and ring IQ against a quality fighter similar to Ali? Rocky just didn't have any Ali types in is era, he never dealt with that combination of speed, chin, footwork, combo punching and size.

ali's hand speed was blazing and he was very accurate. rocky did slip punches fairly well but he wasnt exactly a defensive wizard. ali would have marked him up pretty bad imo. Im talking about the young ali before his layoff. the rusty ali that lost to frazier would have had some problems

Since he never faced an opponent with Ali's skillset, you really have no proof that he wouldn't be a stylistic nightmare for Ali either.

Exactly, he never faced a fighter close to Ali, so how on earth do you think he would be able to beat him?

I have proof that Ali was able to beat up Chuvalo and Frazier, two come forward sluggers similar to Rocky. I know Chuvalo wasn't as hard as a hitter as Rocky, but he was stronger & bigger.

Frazier also owned a better left hook than Rocky, was quicker on his feet than Rocky and had better head movement than Rocky.

You saw Rocky struggle with Charles, Moore, and Walcott, in those fights there is nothing to suggest that he would be able to break down and TKO the greatest heavyweight ever.

                  • ^Haha I mean honestly, I think Marciano does have underrated defense but being too slick and smart for a prime Ali to catch him? That's just too much.

Charles and Walcott are bigger names than Chuvalo and Frazier.

I think you are underrating Marcianos defense, and ring IQ.
