Against Marcos Geraldo he did. Also in the first Antofuermo fight.

Marcos became a "professional opponent" fairly early in his career and he has a lot of looses via stoppage! However when he wanted to be competitive he could be. He lost a decs. to Hagler and lost a decs to Leonard too. Does that mean Leonard fought "down" too?
I handled a lot of pro opponents for a very well known matchmaker in the 70's & 80's and although there were plenty of losses there were opportunities to win but that wasn't their job. Trail horses are essential in a young fighters maturation and occasionally their needed during a top tier fighters campaign.
It's a part of boxing the most fans aren't aware of.
Some kids here would refer to them as bums but there you go most fans have no idea how the sport works.

Hagler didn't do anything against Antuofermo that was out of the norm for him back then. He still won fairly comprehensively on any credible, impartial scorecard. And his problems with Geraldo (struggling to cut the ring off) and Duran (being forced to lead) were were stylistic related.
