Was it a close fight that could have gone either way? Or was it a clear robbery?

Sturm vs De La Hoya

It wasn't a huge robbery, but I def felt sturm won... Oscar stole a lot of rounds with his little flurries, and sturm would have stretches of inactivity except for the jab..
I had it 115-113 sturm,,

And people wonder why sturm never leaves Germany,, came to the states for oscar and got a bad decision....
Huge props to oscar for making this fight... It just shows that if your a legit top draw you can make any match u want since u bring the biggest payday... Others like Roy and Floyd should take note how oscar made big fights with a variety of guys..
Interesting note, a few years ago oscar was training for a comeback vs sturm rematch, but oscar said when he started training, his body just didn't react well, and he was getting injured so he decided to stay retired.. I think this was about 2 or 3 years ago..

Also, the De La Hoya vs Hopkins fight was in the works and Bernard was sweating watching the Sturm fight.
Sturm would have had to completely dominate De La Hoya to be given the verdict in my opinion. He was short changed a bit to make for the bigger future event......

I didn't score it, but felt that Sturm won quite clearly. I wasn't shocked by the decision though, as it is near impossible to win on the cards against a US superstar in America.
I had it worse when Schulz 'lost' to Foreman.
