  • Fighters who hit harder than their weight class.

Who are/were some fighters who hit like someone from a higher weight class? I've heard Hamed hit like a middleweight.

Definitely Hamed. A welterweight Thomas Hearns too. From what I've read, Sam Langford, Stanly Ketchel, and Bob Fitzsimmons.

He is relatively unproven in the ring, but I have heard that Gennady Golovkin's sparring partners claim he hits like a heavyweight.

Yes I have heard that to..he is still unproven so I hate to give him high praise but he does seem to be a once in a generation puncher,
Heavy handed, good punching technique, plus look at the amateurs when he beat Andy lee, bute, dirrell, despaigne

Plus the story of him ko'ing kovolev in sparring..

I think if ggg stops Chavez it will remove all doubt if he is legit or not, because Chavez isn't the best, but he does have his dad's chin

I certainly agree that Chavez will be a true test of his power. JCC is a bigger man with a solid chin.

I truly believe he's going to stop Chavez jr, probably late. I think Golovkin's power is real.

THOMAS HEARNS has some nasty power, and carried it all the way to heavyweight... DAYUM.

I'm not convinced GGG has all time great power at all, he hit some guys a lot who weren't very durable and they ended up being ref stoppages, I think his power is overrated.
