One of my favorite fighters ever...

I dont know how he reached the level he did, he was very unskilled and crude, even though later in his career he did get alittle polish to his game..

His fights with forrest, tito, oscar, vargas, cotto, shane, were all highly entertaining and you always got your money's worth with mayorga..

He came to fight, and thats all you can really ask of a fighter

That is exactly right, the man competed and beat some world class pugilists with almost no classical technique.

The first time I saw him fight I said to myself "you have got to be kidding!"

And then he made "Six Heads" see Seven heads.

I just watched Mayorga v Delahoya, good scrap.

I must say that Mayorgas 15 seconds during the instructions were more exciting than most of Jr's fights.

Holy**** though, that combo that Delahoya unleased on Mayorga was sensational. Leaves Mayorga swaying in the warm and gentle breeze........... Rockin'

YEah that was great.. Alot of people thought oscar was old and shot, and mayorga talked so much smack about oscar and wife, and then first round, oscar still showed he could throw a mean combo with the left hook as the finisher and mayorga got blasted...

reminds me of vargas-tito when vargas talked alot of smack and round 1 tito blasts him with the first left hook of the fight
