Hagler was ready to retire. he had begun to fight only once a year n was at least in his mid thirtys. but of course didnt wanna retire like that. leonard did get him at the right time n when i say leonard fought the perfect fight, i dont mean he necessarily won it. if he had tried to trade shots or got just a little aggressive in there he woulda paid for it. also he had to b helped to his corner after the fight imo from exhaustion so he left it all out there. of course i can still see how hagler mighta edged him on the cards n vice versa. seems like if one camp lobbys to get a certain judge in there, that judge might feel like he has to bend toward the other camp to show he not favoring the camp that want him in. u know?
