  • who made it the farthest with the least

not looking for this guy came from the streets type thing but the most unskilled no god given gifts but look how far the made it due to one punch KO ability or luck or will to win never giving in or intimidation or size or management maybe they had 15 loses but won multiple titles because they kept getting shots over the more deserving and everyone gets lucky once in a while

Who made it the farthest with the least talent?

Gene Fullmer? Sometimes I wonder if it was just aesthetics that made him look so crude and unskilful though. Some fighters just don't look good, or smooth, such as the disappointment people often have when they watch Monzon for the first time.

Haugen is as good a choice as I can think of.

Gatti, Mayorga. Maybe Graziano. Ward became famous, but was never a champion.

i definitely wouldn't put mayorga on the list. he didn't train hard at all. he had talent. his chin was good, hands were fast, and he had power. his problem was that he was in bad shape, making him a front runner, and he clearly never worked hard on learning his craft.
