do you know anything about boxing at all? Do you have any concept on techniques? If I were to punch you in your floater and raise your shoulder blade a full 2 inches would you cry?

What if, Fred Flinstone vs Magilla Gorilla who would win? Stick to that!

    HA!!!! Ray.
what would you call it in then ray, its modern and he moves better than anyone in that era. Is that not in the boxing dictionary or sumin prick. He got outboxed by gene tunney and hayes got some serious power, you tell me how he knocks out haye? Of course hes miles the better boxer, Dempsey doesn't have a weak jab, he doesn't have a jab at all! Your too predictable Ray, you always pick the old legends, just be ****ing honest

Its looks as though dempsey was a generation ahead of willard his style was awesome. Willard was a fool for fighting with his hands around his waist against a bomber like dempsey. I have no idea what oz gloves they used back then but it would be awesome to see what fighters of today would be like with gloves like those or how fighters from the past would do whilst wearing grants

Haye is at his best when he fights aggressively and against Dempsey he would be running into a brick wall. Dempsey would hurt him with the hook and Haye would have to grab and hold him to survive and then he would be on the inside where he'd get roughed up even worse.

I don't consider Haye to be at the level of Willard or even the older Jack Johnson who lost to him. He would get torn up, mauled.

Haye is a strong puncher who's had some success because of this but he is nowhere near Dempsey's level.

I would pick Dempsey over a Liston or Cleveland Williams and Haye isn't even half the fighter Williams was.

It takes more than a big punch to come through when we're talking about a fighter like Dempsey or Ali or Marciano or Joe Louis.

Many on this forum judge a fighter based on how he looked in film not on what he's getting away with or who the opponent is.

"Oh he looks awkward, or clumsy, he must have been a bum"

Nevermind that, you go on his accomplishments, who he beat, and how he beat them.

I've seen guys on here laughing at how Greb looked messing around in that old shadowboxing clip but if you realize he beat the great Gene Tunney so bad that he was in bed for several days, you understand that Greb really was phenomenal, and that doesn't change based on what some kid on a forum thinks about his movements or athleticism.

Someone just posted Dempsey tearing into Willard as evidence of how poor a champion he was??

Willard was bout as good as Vitali Klitschko, for REAL. I don't even think Vitali would have done as well as Jess did in 26 rounds with Jack Johnson. So if you consider a 180 lb Dempsey doing that to the man Jack Johnson said "I don't think anyone can knock him out", it's pretty phenomenal.

Willard was game durable, and could hit with his right. That's already more than I could write about Haye. Haye looked terrible against Wladimir, he dissapointed me more than any heavyweight contender in years, in years. He promised to go in there and take Wladimir's head off and he ran like a *****.

Let's see what he does with his career now, he hopefully restored some self confidence after the embarrassing fight against younger Klitschkobut with a stoppage of Chisora (who's only 2-3 in his last 5 fights), so we'll see where his career goes from there, but right now he doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same paragraph as an elite champion.

Is Vitali really all that amazing? He did well in a fight with Lennox Lewis before getting stopped. That was his greatest opponent and he lost to him.

The fact that he's been so successful just tells you how AWFUL this heavyweight division is.

You mention Dempsey getting outboxed by Gene Tunney as if this is something to look down on. Tunney is an ATG. If he hadn't retired early we would probably be calling him a TOP 5 heavyweight.

Getting out boxed by Arturo Gatti, now that would be bad on someones resume as Gatti constantly lost focus when he was boxing. (By the way I was a huge Gatti fan so I'm not knocking him in the slightest.)

He didn't even do well; he ****** and Lewis ******. The skill level in that fight was abysmal. Just absolutely shameful that that was a HW title fight.

Haye would flop like a goldfish who jumped out of his bowl. Just like he did when he got his heavyweight shot in real life.

Bottom line here is Dempsey is gettin brutalised in maybe a round and really if you can't genuinely see that then I think your lying to yourselves.......the old cliche styles make fights and this is a very bad style for Dempsey

Don't let your dislike of that arrogant fool haye cloud the realistic outcome of this fight
