Yes, but since we are talking about just numbers here. I repeat, Rocky's career record, at first glance looks better than Ali's. That's what I'm trying to say.

One of the best records established was fought by Marvin Hagler.
When most up and comers are fighting trialhorses and "marks" Hagler was in Philly fighting top contenders and top twenty-five competitors!
I think he has the best opponents over a long period of time. I happen to know most of the men and these fights because like Hagler I was New England and New York/Jersey based.
Sugar Ray Seales-3times
Johnny Baldwin
Bobby Bugaloo Watts 2times
Willie the Worm Monroe 3times
Mike Colbert
Kevin Finnegan 2times
Benny Briscoe
Vito Antuofermo 2times
Marcos Geraldo
Alan Minter
Fiergencio Obeluinges 2times
Mustafo Hamsho 2times
Caveman Lee
Tony Sibson
Wilfred Syprion
Roberto Duran
JD Roldan
Tommy Hearns
John Mugambi
Ray Leonard
..............................62 wins (52 by KO)......3 losses (never stopped) 2 dr.
Everyone on that list could fight, no push overs and top tweny five guys when they fought Hagler. One of the best records, simular and possibly better than Sugar Ray Robinsons.
Ray.
