I did block several poster for a short period due to the nature of their posts, but once I realised they are unable to post in threads, I unblocked them for the reasons you have already raised.

If your "Agenda Driven" comment is my opinion of Lennox Lewis. Then i will say the same to you as i have everyone else who made the same claim. "Prove what i claim to be incorrect"... because it has always been very easy for me to prove it to be correct, yet some cannot accept the truth.

You blocking me is meaningless, i returned the compliment and rather than respond to you here, i much prefer the "blocked set-up" as i find your comments antagonistic.

Mike Casey claims Langford praised Dempsey as the greatest heavyweight he "EVER" saw....

What is it you cannot understand ?

Are you claiming Mike Casey "Made up that statement"?

Are you claiming Mike Casey who is a member of "The International Boxing Research Organisation (IBRO)" is incorrect? would not all other members of that same (IBRO) group, not question Casey about such comment if they had a single inclination that it was false?

i have tried to argue that line for over 20yrs, who are we to say, "Dempsey was not the greatest"... fighters as great as Sam Langford & Gene Tunney along with Ledendary trainer Ray Arcel, all claimed to the day they died, "Dempsey was the greatest fighter ever"...

Gene Tunney was sat ringside at the Norton vs Holmes bout in 1978.. interviewed after the fight, Tunney said "Jack Dempsey would have KOd both in the first round"... Tunney was not joking, he was deadly serious...who are we to say, "Tunney was talking rubbish and is just some old fool"

Ray Arcel - arguably the greatest trainer of all times. Who seen them all from Joe Louis, Marciano, Ali, Tyson etc.. claimed Dempsey was the Greatest fighter who ever lived.

I believe Arcel also appeared on the HBO Boxing's Best video biography on Jack Dempsey with Barry Tompkins. That was when I first learned about Dempsey too. The guy did seem to know his history, Arcel.

People had ought to get over it and stop blocking one another. That is the moderators job. They got rid of jughead, and I have to say that quality of discussion has quickly improved.

Does the "blocking brain" ( I know it is a syndrome related to "blocking finger") ever stop to think that others might be interested in what those blocked have to say? A fight was starting between me and someone the other day. These personal feuds are so uninteresting I forgot where it was and never went back. Good. Who needs it?

Highly importunate trolls are one thing, people who supply actual information along with their opinions are another. Sonny is a shock jock but gives good information from time to time. I don't like sorting through garbage for it, but information tends to be valuable, so I have had to become an expert "picker." Joeandthebums just gave some good information in a Burley thread, information you had to take seriously from credible sources. So what are these guys doing barring each other like madmen? I thought I had detected a lot more steadiness of character than that in Joe, only to wake up one day and discover he had blocked ol' Lefhook himself from a thread. If everyone blocks everyone else, we can still start threads. There will be no replies and no arguments with our sacred opinions.

Im gonna start a special thread and block everyone from it including the mods. I will call this thread "solopcism and boxing, the Hegalian dialect of self as it moves from antithesis to thesis...

That will show youse guys!
