That might fly in other sports, but in boxing, performance has a huge impact on the win. Come on, man, you know that Foreman was a pubey hair away from being knocked out there. He was on the upperhand of that fight, no doubt, but I don't know how you could look at that and think he's invincible.

I never said he was "invincible". If I did please find where I said it. What I did say is that no fighter has gone toe to toe with Foreman and won the fight. If I'm wrong, prove it. Foreman knocked Lyle out and "almost" getting knocked out doesn't cut it.

You haven't out and out said it, but it's implied VERY strongly. Lyle showed a chink in that armor. If him and Lyle fought 10 times and they all went like that, I'd think that Lyle would come out on top 3 or 4 times.

Believe me. I'm well aware that Foreman wasn't invincible. But his weakness was NOT trading punches. Either you can find where Foreman was outslugged or beaten in a toe to toe match up or not. If you think I'm wrong find an example where this was not the case. Lyle isn't it.

We're talking about a fantasy fight here. Speculation is entirely acceptable. And it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that Lyle could have knocked him out. Was it wise to trade punches with Foreman? No. But it's not like you get into a shootout with Foreman and instantly automatically lose.

I could see Foreman getting Lennox out of there but I could also see Lewis beating Foreman up kinda the way Alex Stewart did. Foreman was a mess after that fight, and I think he'd be a mess after tangling with Lewis too...

Watch the Lewis vs Botha and Klitschko vs Charles Shufford. Both similar stoppages but i haven't seen anyone complaining about those.
