This has been a debate often on forums I've been to. Marvelous Marvin's power. He scored so many kos but many by accumulation of punches rather than one or a few. He koed Hearns, so he must've had power. But he likely didn't have the same kind of power as Tommy, one punch power.

Hagler's power

Also, don't forget Hagler was said by many to fight with the advantage of "three hands" in the ring. His left, his right and that shiny hard head, which Hagler once aptly said if cracked open would reveal a boxing glove.

Hagler was a very good puncher. He would occasionally show some devastating power (Hamsho II, Obel II, Monroe III, Hamani), but that wasn't really his thing.
He was a tremendous finisher when he did hurt a guy.

Hagler also had the right temperament for a Boxing Champion. He was not there to outpoint you, or just merely beat you. He was there to destroy you for having the nerve to step into a ring with him and for daring to think you could take his title away from him.
That attitude translated into POWER.

He didn't have 1 shot K.O power but he could still punch hard
Can you imagine the pain hearns felt when he threw his hardest punch and it landed on that shiny bald head? Instantly shattered his hand into pieces, hagler probably felt nothing.

i think he was a verry big puncher he just didnt have the sspeed that helps u knock out a guy with one punch cause they dont see it coming....
he was very heavy handed though. IMO

I reckon he hit harder than Tommy, Graziano could knock anyone out cold even at the point of collapse and being on the verge of his own oblivion. That's how he won the title. Zale and Hagler are an interesting comparison in power, Zale is in my opinion one of the top 5 or so body punchers of them all, come to think of it Zale was a slightly heavier hitter to the head too as he could certainly KO with any single one of his left hooks,,,,,,,,,,,,, but Hagler is a hell of a lot better as a boxer, if Hagler chose to box with Zale he'd win, and maybe even by a late stoppage,,. not very early,..... Tony's Chin was far stronger than Hearns's, and probably Haglers equal,.......... ............ of the four, I rate their chins as. 1. Hagler ,.2. Zale , 3. Graziano, 4. Hearns,,.. I think I covered their power............................................. ................................... ..............Hagler was more of a boxer,,... but he could turn slugger, but usually only when necessary, and when he smelt blood, he was like Basilio, not going crazy, just cooly tearing their Hapless foe to bits,,,,,,,, Hagler a great finisher, as was Basilio (I'll never forget what he did to DeMarco). Those would be some fights man...Zale-Hagler and Graziano-Hagler!
