...then Foreman would probably be disqualified. Why? Coz he kept pushing Frazier away, thats not allowed as far as I know. I wonder why the ref let him do it all the time??

If Frazier-Foreman happened today...

One of those things one of the champions got away with. Ali and lewis' holding on the head, Tyson's forearms/elbows etc.
Although I'd have to say Foreman would have some serious issues if he was never allowed to illegally push his opponents on the shoulders away from him. He was not skilled to create space for his punches any other way.

Like everyone else at the time not named Joe Frazier or Muhammad Ali, the ref was scared of Foreman! Hah.
It was quite true that Foreman had left lasting memories upon several of his victims between turning pro & challenging for Frazier's crown. Few people picked against Frazier (I think either Howard Cosell or Don Dunphy might've), but it was no surprise in hindsight that most of the ones who did were ex-Foreman opponents.
Correct me if Im wrong but wasnt Chuvalo the only common rival they had in 1973? At least the only world-ranked one, I think. I wonder what he predicted. Probably Frazier, like most.
