Going back a little over ten years this guy was the goods. He'd dominate and KO most of the guys put in front of him in explosive fashion. Yes, he could be knocked down and somewhat sloppy at times but he seemed as though he had tremendous heart as he'd always get up and close things out. He'd always put on a dancing theatrical pre-show that lasted a good while and loved to aggravate/taunt the living daylights out of his opponents very much like Ali did. He only lost once against an ATG named Barrera. Had he stuck around for longer do you suppose he could have accomplished more? Would he have had good rivalries with the likes of guys like Morales and Pacquiao?

Didn't Prince Naz appear to be the featherweight version of Ali?

no he was not like ali and the day he walked out of brenden ingle's gym he went downhill,he had too many yes men around him and that finished him off,if he never left brenden ingle's gym then he might have had great fights with manny, morales, jmm and barreara.by the time he faced MAB he was doing everthing wrong.he got too big for his boots

That's how they promoted him, and wanted fans to buy him (as this amazing unorthodox, Ali-like fighter who could break all the rules in the ring and never pay for it and still be amazingly successful) ...well, Marco Antonio Barrera schooled that clown, and the clown was never same after a real fighter had his way with him.
Prince = OVERRATED (then & now)

People focus way to much on that single loss, he got beat but he wasnt "schooled", he lost it 8-5 in rounds to be fair.
That comment about how he was promoted like he was Ali, its called hype..only gullible "tyson was the best ever" type of fans believe that ****. Hamed had to make alot of noise because he came from england, getting past the domestic and euro level and then getting onto the big stage takes a little more than just skills, he needed to be able to pull big crowds. Which unlike the "big fights" in America (alexander/bradley, haha) he actually managed to do.
But i guess if you are the kind of gullible fan who probably thought Haye/Klit was going to be anything but a snooze fest simply because haye said he would knock klit out would think of Hamed as a "clown". Where as if you took the time to look through his resume and the opponents you would find he was a cut above from the world champions at that time. But then again you fans would no doubt be the first to call the loser of the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight an overrated bum as well.

Many great fighters get convincingly beat at one time or another. Joe Louis did. Mike Tyson did. Muhammad Ali did. Sugar Ray Robinson did. And it goes on and on. That doesn't mean they are talentless. When Barrera was schooled by Manny Pac did they criticize Barrera? When Manny got punished by Morales and the other two he lost to did they say he wasn't a true fighter?
