Yeah, that's a fair statement. Even though Apollo was emulated off of Muhammad Ali, he boxed like Holyfield a little bit.

To Be honest Apollo's style was more like Ali's in Rocky 2 and Rocky 4.

However Apollo's style in Rocky 1 was actually based on the Ezzard Charles fights with Rocky Marciano, particularly the first fight.
