the IBHOF have Olivares as the greatest bantamweight in history so your claim "he isn't in that class" is incorrect. Jofre's opponents leave him open to debate as far as who did he beat.

JAB's posted link proves your claim is a lie. Regardless, the IBOF is a joke (as their rating of Chandler at 13 proves) and few boxing historians' lists would tally closely with anything the IBOF puts out. If that's where you go for your info then you'll never want for moonshine. You may as well use that other joke Bert Sugar.....either way a laughable source.

IMO no ATG champion is more open to scrutiny that Jofre, his quality of opponent is the worst of any ATG i can think of with him losing to the best fighter he ever fought.

Personally I'd like to see the link to the IBHOF where it has Oliveres ranked the greatest bantam ever. sorry but I'll take the collective wisdom of guys who comb over a fighters career over yours any day. You've proven you have very limited knowledge of the sport .

I agree that Jofre is a bit overrated in terms of who he beat. I think Olivares beat better competition overall.

I also think its a shame that Manuel Ortiz doesnt get a fair claim at best bantamweight ever, since he beat more top competition than Jofre.

Manuel Ortiz is my favourite Bantamweight ever.

But he isn't greater than Eder Jofre, I don't see that.

I was about to make a thread on him, actually.
