tommy hearns is the fighter paul williams wishes he was.

and paul williams beat margarito when his wraps on his hands were likely packed with plaster

lets all just think about the fight for a second
would tommy hearns have ANY trouble hitting antonio margarito?
    no

tommy couldnt miss with the right hand on a guy like margarito
    tony jabs
    tommy drops the right hand

margarito wouldn't have nearly enough speed to close the distance and score points
and he's not a devastating puncher who could turn the fight with a single shot

all margarito's got going for him is a chin that would keep him on his feet for a few rounds, as well as conditioning and a warriors heart.

tommy by what would likely be a life altering beating

tony was a career WW. tommy hearns made WW by the grace of god as a 22 year old and finished his career as a cruiserweight

if manny pacquiao dusted up marg's face something brutal and actually broke it
tommy hearns does a lot worse.

    end of story

EDit: just realized i made that "list of oxygen theives" that joke of a man keeps in his signiture
    score.

i think you guys are giving Hearns way too much credit. He never had the discipline to stick and move. It would be a slugfest and in a slugfest the man with the better chin wins like 99% of the time. The chins of Margarito and Hearns are about as wide as can be and that is why this is a "kryptonite matchup".

If Margarito's chin couldn't hold up against Mosley it's not holding up against Hearns. And it wouldn't take Hearns 8 rounds to finish him. You're overrating Margarito's ability to take punches. And you're excuses about that fight(Mosley) means nothing.

Margarito has one of, if not the best chin in at welterweight ever to say otherwise is ludicrous. By your logic Hearns couldn't stop Ernie Singletary so what makes you think he could stop Margarito.

Margarito got stopped by Mosley,he is half the puncher Hearns was plus margs defence is terrible,he would get brutally knocked out by tommy too say otherwise is ludicrous

The fight in question is at 154 not 147. And Ernie Singletary was a Middleweight so that's a ridiculous comparison to Margarito.

And sorry, but Margarito doesn't hvae the best chin ever at welterweight.

Is this a serious debate? Hearns will kill Margarito. Margarito has never fought a guy like that, and don't say Pacquiao or Mosley because Hearns is a totally different animal from each of them.
