Ron Lyle vs David Tua

Lyle's boxing skills are under-rated. He out-thought & out-punched Ali through ten rounds. If Ali was 1,000 years old, he'd still be more difficult to out-box like that than Tua would be --- & it was a pre-Manila Ali, who had recently bested Foreman.

Is anyone going to say Rahman can out-box & out-smart Tua, but Lyle can't? I don't believe Rahman holds a candle to Lyle.

If Tua catches Lyle with the same left hook that Shavers caught him with then he wins. I don't think there's a single opponent who managed to last the distance, let alone win the fight, after getting knocked down by Tua. But there were plenty who outboxed him, and Lyle is definitely capable of doing that. Both fighters tended to be a bit hot and cold so it's difficult to predict the outcome of this one. I initially voted Tua by KO, but on second thoughts I think that Lyle UDs him, by a whisker.
