Lyle, a durable fighter with enough power to keep Tua honest, & enough boxing ability to duplicate the lesser Rahman's success, wins a convincing decision. This wouldn't be that tight on the cards, IMO.

in my opinion Lyle wasn't so durable. he got rocked by quarry, bonavena, Ali, ledoux, and young. Tua hits harder then all of these guys.

I don't know if Lyle can go the distance with tua, tua always seemed to have great power all throughout the fight and Lyle never KO'd a durable fighter.

I'd pick tua to finish Lyle off with Lyle ahead on points.

This fight will never even see the cards.

Tua is always one left-hook away from raising his hands in victory. Ill give Lye 4 rounds of survival but nothing more.

There is more to being durable than your punch resistance. Plenty of fighters have had shaky chins, but have exhibited iron wills, extraordinary recuperative powers, & tonnes of heart. Lyle had all three to one extent or another. He took a mountain of hammerblows from Foreman before succumbing. He toughed it out through some brutal skirmishes with Shavers.

Pumping up Lennox Lewis by proxy again, are we?

LOL at Lyle dropping out in four. Rahman --- one of the most mediocre fighters ever to have worn the legit HW crown --- made Tua into a play-thing. He did it all with a lesser chin, more limited boxing skills, less raw punching power & inferior endurance.

Well, that's more about his warrior mentality and heart more so then durability. You're right, he took monstorous shots from Shavers and Foreman. And he did manage to come back. But he nearly lost the fight against Shavers and if Foreman wasn't so mentally depressed, he would have deposed of Ron earlier.

As powerful as Tua is he is basically a Fat Plodder

I think he left hooks Ron to death. Lyle was bad man but I think Tua's even against most heavyweight strongmen like Lyle. Tua's got an uncrackable chin and too much power for Lyle, who has been stopped repeatedly.
