Ray Leaonard never wanted to fight a prime Hagler

Lennox Lewis recently said on sky broadcast he never boxed a southpaw as a pro and didnt want nothing to do with michael moorer for that reason he doesnt like fighting southpaws

I cant be troubled to go over all these claims, but it is quite ridiculous saying that welterweight Leonard ducked middleweight Hagler. I mean how can you duck a guy in another weightclass? And when was it that Leonard ducked prime Hagler?

Why do you say so? Hagler never fought at 175 and Spinks never at 160.

No different to the claim that Leonard "ducked" Marvin Hagler.If anything,the claim that Hagler avoided Spinks carries more credibility than Leonard avoiding Hagler does.

That can be found in Clay Moyle's biography of Langford, though I expect you'll claim it's a work of fiction like the Murderers' Row book. Johnson first agreed to go on with the fight and then pulled out in March 1909, for which he was widely derided. Johnson then said he'd fight Langford provided there was a $10,000 side bet. Langford put up the $10,000 and Johnson was still a no show.

There are countless other reports of Johnson being offered big money to face Langford. Johnson's stated minimum purse for a title defence was $30,000. Hugh McIntosh met that offer (New York Times, 26th June 1912), then offered $40,000 (New York Times, 9th August 1912) and then $60,000 for him to face Langford, Jeannette and McVea (New York Times, 12th September 1912) and that's just a few of many similar offers. There was plenty of demand and interest in the fight and Johnson just wasn't interested.

And finally, here's a quote from Johnson himself regarding Langford: "I don't want to fight that little smoke. I'm the first black champion and I'm going to be the last."

funny how you have twisted and misconstrued the video so as to fit your pathetic agenda... it is well known now that the Lewis v Bowe Olympic final was the most blatant robbery in Olympic Heavyweight history with Bowe receiving 14 warnings in the opening round by the referee and the fight bazaarly stopped in the 2nd round... Care to explain which bits you think were fictional? The author's source for that Johnson agreement was the New York Times but I suppose you regard that as fictional too.
