    That was the fight when people would be made to recognize Johnson as the real champ where they wouldn't previously. I'd say it was an upset but not in the general sense of the underdog coming out on top.

      Two upsets which don't get mentioned so often: the Spinks brothers each winning the heavyweight title. Leon was 8-1 to beat Ali (the same odds Ali was to beat Liston) and Michael was about 6-1 to beat Holmes.

        Good choice Jab. Napoles badly outclassed Backus but that day he cought lightening in a bottle. In an immediate rematch Napoles took him apart and gave him a brutal beating.

        The biggest upset ever is Douglas-Tyson. Whatever is second isn't even close.
