haha Shavers? Shavers was one step above club fighter. Fact is most of his first 50 fights were all in ohio and pennsylvania clubs. When he left Ohio and Pennsylvania he tended to lsoe everytime.Jerry Quarry KO 1'ed him, Losing record 209 lbs, ko'ed 8 times and lost 30 times, Bob Stallings beat Shavers by UD...but yeah he'd beat Wlad. Seriously, isnt there a moderator on this board? I mean besides personal attacks in this thread, which I do not engage in, this guy is saying a club fighting never was would beat Wlad.

Shavers was UD'ed by BOB STALLINGS. Bob Stallings was knocked out 3x as many times as Wlad ever was and had a 17% ko%. Yet Shavers would beat Wlad?

Earnie Shavers is the HW version of Emanuel Augustus...both are overrated like crazy by their fans and their records are looked over because of cool highlight vids. Both gave a tough, but ultimately decisive losing effort to champions, neither one won anything. Both are one notch above club fighter. Journeymen is the best way to sum them up. Not even gate keeper, journeyman.

Wlad is the most dominant champ in history.

Lol, you really enjoy skating on thin ice, huh? Its ok, I'll give you a chance to back your words. Please explain just how Wlad is more dominant than the likes of Ali and Louis? And remember, resume counts. Beating a bunch of stiffs who were one and done in the top 10 really isn't that impressive. Good fighter? Yes. Most dominant champ in history? Please.

I back what I say with this... Sanders did it, and so did Brewster...neither are anything the fighter Shavers was, especially that bum Sanders....Neither could punch (in ability OR power) anything like Shavers either...and that is what they beat Wlad with...Pressure and power, simple as that...What makes you think Wlad would be able to stay away from Earnie? He may KO Earnie, but if Holmes couldn't keep him from landing, no way does Wlad manage it...hell even Ali had worlds of trouble with Shavers...he is UNDERRATED because he fought in the strongest heavyweight division ever, Wlad is OVERRATED because he fights in what is probably the WEAKEST heavyweight division ever....

I'd bet on Corrie Sanders to beat Shavers. Shavers lost to low level clubfighters like Ron Stander and Bob Stallings, so I don't want to hear what a strong heavyweight era he fought in. Sanders would be too big and too fast for him.

Wait what? Did you just say that Sanders would beat any decent fighter? Sanders was a slow bum...I guess Sanders would give Holmes and Ali a run for their money too? And KO Norton? He would probably put Ron Lyle down to wouldn't he....And knock out Jimmy Young...How ridiculous

That **** Sanders lost to Hasim Rahman and a nobody named Nate Tubbs by knockout...Considering that Shavers KOed several 230+ fighters that were IN SHAPE, that sir is the difference, they were big and IN SHAPE, not 300lbs and OUT OF SHAPE like they are today, what the big weight is made of is more important than just how much weight their is...So I guess Butterbean would beat everyone today because he is bigger...So would Bobb Sapp, Size means zip.

Whats even worse is that you say that Sanders is to fast for Shavers, or any decent fighter...its not about how good Shavers was, it is about how bad Sanders and the rest of the Klit's opposition is...

Talking about Butterbean, Bob Sapp, and fat heavyweights is irrelevant. Unless you are implying that the K brothers are out of shape. Hate to bother you with facts, but who are all these 230+ lb IN SHAPE guys that Shavers KO'd? Well pretty much nobody, except for Roy Williams who was a flop as a pro and never a rated contender.

Corrie Sanders was a very fast handed heavyweight. If you don't know that, you clearly have never seen him fight. He definitely had faster hands than Earnie Shavers did. Hopefully some unbiased posters here can vouch for that.

The one thing Sanders was, apart from lazy and undisciplined, was fast and powerful. In fact, if he was not lazy he could easily have been one of the best HW's of this time. He had exceptional speed for a guy his size, was tricky and hit very hard.

I have seen him fight, he is nothing special at all. He is upright with his hands down at his freaking waist, he has no foot work and hardly any defense. He couldn't take a punch...to the body anyway...and his punching power and technique are not anything to be in awe of...One can defend Wlad all they want, Wlad is a exceptional fighter...Not Sanders, he is a bum...If you call Shavers a club fighter, then what is a guy like Sanders? Shavers had better combinations, defense, durability, power, and possibly even speed too....That is almost as bad as putting Hasim Rahman against Shavers...or any notable fighter at all...

Spinks by domination. Who has Wlad beat thats note worthy? nobody. It took him 12 rounds to get rid of 6'1 CW Chambers, Spinks was choc full of skill I don't see him running into one of Wlads slow punches.

Wlad's slow punches? Wow. Just unbelievable. Spinks would have had his hands full with Eddie Chambers. Klitschko just takes him apart.
