Im with Scott on this one. I give Spinks and chance, but only slightly. Mike never looked great against a top, prime heavy and his punch wasn't the same as it was at 175. I'll take Wlad by stoppage between 6 and 8.

I would point out that I don't regard Spinks as a great Heavyweight (at Light-Heavy that's an entirely different story).....but you don't have to be to beat Wlad. This is more an assesment of WLAD'S failings than Spinks' strengths.

I would agree on that if we weren't talking the best version of Wlad. In a fantasy match up though I always try to envision each fighter at top form while taking into consideration past performances. I just don't think Spinks can match up.

For the record I think if Vitali ever fought Wlad (which I seriously doubt would ever happen), AND Vitali didn't take it easy on him because he's his little brother (which I think is even less likely then them actually fighting), then I would favor Vitali by a brutal KO no later than round 6.

If they fought now I think Wlad would win pretty handily. In the past it might have been a different story. I suspect that Vitali is just about at the finish line right now.

Wlad wasnt prime until 2006 dude. Everything before that was pre-prime Wlad. Guys have this thing called pre-prime. Pre-prime is before your prime.

Ali had one to, like when he was viciously sent to the canvas by Henry Cooper and needed smelling salts and a torn glove to be revived. That was preprime Ali. Chad Dawson clearly would have the power to knock Ali out of the ring at that point. See...pre prime.

                Prime Wlad is undefeated.
No. No. No. Just no. He came into his peak around 2006 but was in his prime before then. Peak and prime are different. Your peak is when you are at your very best, physically and mentally. It's when the experience, skill, physicality and mental strength all come together. It doesn't last long.

Your prime last much longer than your peak and will encompass the majority of your career from the start to when you hit the age barrier or whatever and start to fall off.

It's a funny thing. You hear Pac and Wlad fans talk about how their boxer wasn't in his 'prime' simply to excuse losses they had. No other reason than that and it's a ****ing poor one too.

I find it hilarious when Pac fans talk about Pac not being in his prime against Marquez and Morales just to excuse losses/draws....whilst conveniently forgetting Morales' near states of death. That's another story....

But, coming back to the prime. If a fighter is not in his prime at the age of 27, after a decade as a pro across many divisions, after having been a flyweight champ, a superbantamweight champ, a FW champ and going into his fifth division for another championship fight, after having fought HOFers such as Barrera, Marquez, and a slew of champions like Agapito Sanchez (even if it was a draw), Lolo Ledwaba, Singsurat, Sasakul, after having won championships, and after having lost or been knocked out in championship fights.......

WHAT THE **** ARE YOU!!!??? Not in your prime? **** off.

It's the same with the big Klit. Please don't try to pull this 'not prime' arsehole BS. I cannot stand it. He just lost. It's as simple as that. Because of that loss, he changed his style to a more defensive, more cautious style but it does not mean he wasn't in his prime. If you are not in your prime after having been the HW champ for four years with fifty pro fights, seven defenses, having beaten great, experienced pros/champ like Barrett, Byrd, Mcline, Mercer, etc etc, then you are never in your prime.

do you ever get tired of trolling?

option a: Spinks would get destroyed by wlad

option b: spinks would clearly get destryoed by wlad....and the way every one ranks when some one i in prime and not in prime is completly wrong.

option c: spinks would clrealy get destroyed by wlad, how people rank people in prime is wrong, and wlad only ever lost because he didnt enter his prime til he was.......drum roll........30 years old......

couldnt you have just stopped at option a instead of pulling **** out of thin air that has nothing to do with the Thread.

Earnie Shavers was 210, George Foreman was 215-220, both would KTFO and possibly even retire Wlad, hands down...I think Shavers would Take Wlad in round 2 like a steam roller, and Foreman in round 6...Prime to prime of course...Neither one is 225...Michael Spinks hits about as hard as a middleweight and just sucks overall at Heavy, no way he walks away from Wlad IMHO...Michael Spinks, like Chris Byrd, doesn't have the power to crush a g****....

Spinks was a hard punching lightheavyweight. To say that he hits as hard as a middleweight is just plain ******.

And Shavers was KO'd by guys who aren't good enough to spar with Klitschko. Wladimir would keep him at the end of his jab and take him out late. It wouldn't even be close.
