Uh Ali was saying mixing is not acceptable AT ALL. I believe everyone should have a choice if they want to mix their cultures or not and that is EXACTLY what Ali did not want.
    Choice is not racist.
A definitive way to live your life depending on your race is.

The Nation of Islam exploited Ali's anger at the discrimination he and his race faced to brainwash him. Ali might have been quick-witted, but he wasn't in any way intellectual, making him an easy target. The Nation of Islam represented direct, furious action against discrimination, as opposed to the patient approach taken by King and the Civil Rights Movement. Put the two approaches in front of an angry young man without much in the way of education and you'll only ever get one winner. Thankfully Ali changed his views as he matured.

I have no problem with mixed people but personally i'd never want to be one. Like mallatos, it must be hard being one.

Probably the whole world will be coffeee coloured one day.
Think mixed race had problems years ago maybe not being truly accepted by either but think people are more sensible now and don't care.

what happened to being tolerant of other peoples beliefs? why does this make ali bad? i don't care for him but this doesn't make me think less of him. it does kind of prove he didn't hate white people. he believed in seperatism as did the kkk and noi at the time. racism will always exist. look at mexicans they are a product of the spanish conquering the aztecs yet they are racist to black and whites (even though they are part white). but today neither the kkk or the noi are relevant because they do not actually do anything anymore other than complain.

Well if what you're saying is not racist it certainly is ignorant. With all due respect.

why? he says he wouldn't want to be half black. me either. i am happy i am white and i think some of you are too sensitive. it's ****** to act like we are all the same and race doesn't exist. and before you start crying about me being racist i actually prefer ****ing black women to white women and i am very open about that. i even prefer their personality to white american women. but i wouldnt want a mixed son. i dont think it would bother me if it was a girl but there is no way of knowing enough in advance to get an ********. but several black women have told me they wanted kids who were half white. i dont think i would mind either with most asian women but it is important to me that i have a white son. the only problem is i cant stand american or even western european women.

Playboy: You're beginning to sound like a carbon copy of a white racist. Let's get it out front: Do you believe that lynching is the answer to interracial sex?

Ali: ' A black man should be killed if he's messing with a white woman. And white men have always done that. They lynched ******s for even looking at a white woman; they'd call it reckless eyeballing and bring out the rope. Raping, patting, mischief, abusing, showing our women disrespect -- a man should die for that. And not just white men -- black men, too. We will kill you, and the brothers who don't kill you will get their behinds whipped and probably get killed themselves if they let it happen and don't do nothin' about it. Tell it to the President -- he ain't gonna do nothin' about it. Tell it to the FBI: We'll kill anybody who tries to mess around with our women. Ain't nobody gonna bother them.

Playboy: And what if a ****** woman wants to go out with non-****** blacks -- or white men, for that matter?

Ali: Then she dies. Kill her, too.

Who gave Ali the right to decide if people should be killed?

The original "Cassius Clay" was one of the greatest men who lived and the original Muhammad Ali (the enslaver and war lord) was one of the worst.

As long as he carries the name "Muhammad Ali" it's pretty safe to assume that he is STILL approves violence and racism.

Considering his advice has been sought by presidents, kings, dictators and people of ALL religious denominations, I think its safe to say Ali has changed his views dramatically. No public figure would seek out a hate mongering racist.
