  • Who had the better career Been or Eubank?

Benn and Eubank both had great careers. But who had the better career? Eubank undefeated in nearly 10 years two weight world champion. Defeated Benn, Watson and many more. But did take on some B rated fighters that were easier to defend his WBO title. He had a great chin and good boxing skills. Benn two weight world champion held his WBC world title for 4years would fight anyone. His great wins were Dewitt, Barkley and for me his ultimate was McClellan. Who do you choose?

I would say Eubank because of his greater resilience, which is visible even through his resume, the way he won, the way he lost, and his longer reign

Eubank fought longer, and he was still a formidable opponent at the very end of his career, unlike Benn who faded and became shot

Eubank suffered 5 defeats at the hands of only 3 men, but never been dominated as he lost, only stopped once by a CW because of a swollen eye

Benn suffered 5 defeats at the hands of 4 men, 2 devastating KO defeats, retired in his corner twice, and was put on his ass several times in fights he eventually won

Eubank beat Benn, Watson, Rocchigiani, gave the fight of his life to Calzaghe when he was getting old, nearing retirement, came close to win a third title in a third weight class against tough Thompson

Eubank, WBO middleweight titlist, defended the title 3 times successfully, undefeated at that weight
WBO super middleweight titlist, defended the title 17 times, losing it to Collins

Benn defended his WBO middleweight title 2 times, and his WBC super middleweight title 9 timer

Eubank has been in 25 title fights in total (!!!)
    Benn been in 16

they both lack big names coming out of the UK, but Benn beats Eubank in that category : DeWitt, Barkley and McClellan

ironic thing is that these 2 rivals have a whole lot in common :
-they both inflicted permanent brain injuries to an opponent
-they bost lost twice to Collins
-they both are 2 weight titlists in the same 2 divisions
-they fought to a draw when they tried to unify the WBO and WBC super middleweight titles
    -they both suffered 5 defeats
-Eubank had the chin, Benn had the power
-Eubank had the showmanship, Benn had the fury

as characters, they were black and white, Ali and Frazier

I'd go with Eubank, solely on the basis of their first fight (although he was also a superior fighter too imo). Records are fairly even, probably a bit of an edge to Eubank there as well.
