Thats not really fair, Evander was prime during his early hw reign and Toney was prime at smw

        Holy couldn't KO 1 Toney with a *******.
Whats your criteria for a ATG?

He should of won Griffin II and Peter I, he beat Nunn, McCallum*2, Littles and Holyfield

Duran won 3 world titles above his weight, so point 1?
Also didn't I see you rated Castro? Check Duran's age when he beat him.

Considering you count the Berbick victory against Ali I expect no less

can you give me 1 example of Toney losing so humiliatingly ?
Many Steward said himself he wouldn't have let Toney near Hearns when he came to train in their gym.
Anyway , in Duran's case there is more than just 1 such an example.

I rate Duran too , just compared him to Toney and Toney came out on top of the comparison.

Considering this comes from someone who knows I only watched the weigh-in in Foreman-Ali.

His short but successful run at cruiser and heavyweight pushes him to ATG status for me. Without that run, going on just his 160-168 career, I don't think he would be an ATG.

Not to mention Jones' condition against Toney was his best , and Toney's against Jones his worst. Still Jones was not even close and did not even considered trying to stop Toney , such a move would have become his first stoppage loss.
This was not coherent at all.

                      I'm sorry but I can't have that.
I asked what great boxers did he beat to deserve being call an ATG. Holyfield I will take, But if we're considering the likes of Steve Little & Michael Nunn great boxers, then there is something seriously wrong.
James Toney was a great boxer for his day, but all time come on now.

Would you consider Toney in say, the top 10/15 Middles of all time, or alternatively top 10/15 Heavies. The answer is no.
So how can you even think about rating him ATG if he doesn't even stake up in his own divisions?
