The others aren't really textbook.
Mentally, he lacked the intelligence to be a great traditional boxer like Chris John, and was more than quite a bit shy in rematching Manny even though his management dragged him screaming for 3x more.

Marquez was a very intelligent fighter with that typical Nacho Beristain style. And overall won more rounds against Pacquiao in their series than Pacquiao did against him.billeau2 likes this.

- - Got knocked down near a half dozen x and KOed in the first and second fights in any fairly officiated boxing jurisdiction of which Vegas ain't.
"Credentialed Accountant" pre BALCO Juan turned down a record setting purse, $750K for the immediate rematch from the first fight for an expensive flight for his team to Indonesia to be schooled, ie embarrassed by young Chris John for $25K, a net loss on the books of over $725K.
If U can't do the math, get that little 3rd grade grrl next door to help U. 3rd grade grrls are pretty sharp these days, someone that could've helped preBALCO Juan.

My ****** and beloved halfwits, Ho'kins and Vlad belong on no such list. Ho'kins was a cheater who faked being fouled when any fight got tough. He was a holder as well.
Willie Pep. He fought one of the best fighters ever four times. Nayweather never fought anyone at all who could be mistaken for the best. Pep employed his moves against the best, Nayweather didn't. That simple. Old ex champions were Nayweather's table meat.
