Leonard said something similar in the Roberto Duran Beyond The Glory. He said he wanted to catch Duran in between his fluctuating weight in the hopes of fighting a weight drained Duran in the rematch. These things cause me to lose a little respect for Leonard. He's still one of my favorites, but a truly great fighter not only beats the biggest and best, but he should want to beat them when they at their best.

Yeah I heard him say that as well. I respect him as a fighter, but I never really warmed to him because of tactics like that.

Outside he is one of my favorite businessmen.

I love the irony when ignorant ass ppl criticise Mayweather (which is legit, if they feel like oding it) and bring up Leonard as an example of how a *real* warrior behaves (which is completely ridiculous for anyone who knows how things went down 20-30 years ago)
