In fact, Marciano was not making 175 as an amateur, when he fought 3-4 rounds. Imagine the chances of him making 175 when he weighed 185-190 after training for 15 rounds...

I am out of here, you can keep your opinion, I will stick to facts.

You're arguing with an idiot, my man. Fact is Marciano never fought as a lightheavy, therefore shouldn't be ranked there. That is the bottom line. frankenfrank can speculate all he wants, it doesn't change the fact that impossible to rank a fighter at a weight they never fought at.

While ranking in terms of achievement is clearly impossible, in some cases it's reasonable to imagine certain fantasy matchups, like Duran against the greats at 140, because it's quite obvious that Duran could have made 140, even though he never fought at the weight.

But yeah, this guy is an idiot. There is no evidence Marciano would have been able to make 175 on the day of the fight.

Yep thats the point you could easily say Duran might beat any great 140 in a fantasy match up but you couldn't go on from that and say Duran was the greatest 140 of all time because he never fought at the weight. Probably would have been but can't be

          Moore
          Charles
          Johnson
          Conn

          Rest aren't ATGs.

exactly what i meant. In this case it's even worse though, cos it does not seem plausible that marciano could healthily make 175
