I watched that fight a few months ago and I can see a case for the scoring being closer that it is implied by some. I think early on the strength of Ramirez took Pernell off of his game somewhat and the early rounds were close because Pea was on his bicycle the whole time it seemed. He settled down later in the fight and took over but like I said I thought the early rounds were close.

Ironically, if whitaker won he would have faced Chavez at that time.
Well from what i remember Whitaker was Boxing effectively for 7/8 rounds and its only down the stretch of the fight that Ramirez started putting more pressure on, however he still wasn't hitting **** for the most part, but he was starting to disrupt Whitaker's rhythm, Whitaker seemed to be running more than moving, where as before he was was maneuvering around the ring and Boxing Ramirez, i still think he won about 8 rounds of the fight though, you only need 6 for a draw, there is no way he lost, even when Ramirez did better in the latter round he was still losing some of those rounds based on the fact Whitaker was still countering him, albeit not as consistently as earlier.

One thing to remember about this fight is that Ramirez was loved in France and fought his previous ten fights there. He also had promotional ties to Don King while Whitaker was with main events. Those two factors seemed to affect the scoring more than what happened in the ring. I remember watching it in TV in disbelief.

Whitaker won almost every round and barely any of the rounds were close.

                - - U 2 the most primal monkeys in BS History section.

Wanna see Ramirez humiliated, see what Macho did to him earlier when they both prime.

So Pea Brains chooses fellow Dummy Duva for his trainer, U know, the Dummy who cost Taylor a win vs JCChavez.

Oh they a slick team showboating popcorn flurries until they got tired as Ramirez warmed into the fight, walking Pea into left hook liver shots, that has hanging on for dear life between lowblowing and turning his back and running. Duva the pro supposed to tell Pea, "Don't be walking into them Liver shots," but it's debatable if Pea was ever smart enough to follow directions.

That's why Pea avoided Camacho and JCSr because they couldn't afford the humiliation(Camacho) or being KTFO(Chavez)

That's why it took a hardliner like Frankie Randall to finally take down Sr.

                Yer Welcome...

What does Camacho beating Ramirez have to do with Pea being g robbed in their fight? Your view of this fight is very skewered.

Whitaker outboxed Chavez much more conclusively than Randall only to be robbed once again. In fact, if it wasn't for the points taken away for boneheaded low blows Chavez would have won that first Randall fight.

                    - - Clowns like U like clowns like Pea. Between he and Duva they could barely sc**** a double digit IQ. Pea get run outta town on a rail in Sugar Ray/Lamotta day.

Taylor got two cracks at Chavez because he always comes to fight. Why Chavez ever wanna fight another clown like Pea?

Lmao....I was never a fan of Whitakers style, or his personality. That doesn't stop me from recognizing his talent and greatness.

Funny how you failed to address Whitaker outboxing Chavez more conclusively than Randall. You like to skip over facts that don't suit your agenda, huh troll?
