Tua was wobbled in the 10th 11th & 12th rounds by Ibeabuchi he was also floored by Hasim Rahman and KOd in the opening round by Felix Savon... Mike Tyson had a granite chin and would bomb-out Tua within 2rds... Tua failed every time he fought above Class C rated fighters.. Prime Tyson was Class A

tua was never hurt by ibeabuchi. at most stunned.

i don't know what you are watching but tua won the 10th and 11th and had ike hurt in the 11th. ike only won the 12th in those 3 rounds you mentioned and that was more him turning it up and tua punching himself out in the 11th.

rahman knock down was at the end , tua was more out of balance and tired. he wasn't even hurt.

this mofo mentions savon.

that's the amateurs. tua was a teenager and he only weighed 200 lbs.

savon was a grown man.

at least he got a bronze at the worlds and olympics.

since you want to count the savon fight for tua , why don't you mention tyson's losses in the ams.

So you don't give him props for fighting Lewis , Ibeabuchi (whom stopped Byrd) , Rahman (twice) , Moorer , Ruiz , Maskaev (whom stopped Rahman twice) and Darroll Wilson (whom stopped Shannon Briggs and was undefeated at the time he fought Tua) ?

And Obed Sullivan (Tua stopped him much faster than anyone else) ?

And actually Tua didn't KO Rahman , it was a punch after the bell , though I still did not watch their first fight.

Based on this I cant see how a case can be made that Tua hit harder, than the much bigger Ruddock. Ruddock has a solid chin as well, as shown in both of his fights with Tyson

How many times was Ruddock stopped and how many times was Tua stopped ?

As for stamina Ruddock faded in fights like Tua did, round 8 of Tua-Byrd comes to mind

Tua had some nice late stoppages : Fres Oquendo , David Izon and Oleg Maskaev.

Ruddock was still KD'd by Tyson and was stopped in one of their two encounters.
He was also stopped by Lewis (whom also KO'd Tyson but did not even knock Tua down ) , Tommy Morrisson :yep: , and David Jaco :bukkake:.

So basically Byrd went through Tua's punches , wearing him down and almost stopping him late , Tua was lucky that bell rang in the 12th cause otherwise he would have been put to sleep by that mean punching machine.

Against Tua, Byrd blocked and rolled with punches. Tyson bobbed and weaved and slipped punches, I would say that he was just as good as Byrd.

Then why was he stopped more times than Byrd despite having a better chin , better offense and just as good defense ?

Watch round 8 of Tyson-Green, where Tyson slips all of Green's punches. The punches that bothered Tyson were the Jab and the uppercut. He was quite adept at slipping hooks, which are Tua's main punches.

Tua is no Green , whomever he is.

No he didnt, watch Tua-Byrd from rounds 8-12, and you will see that Byrd stood in front of Tua and even had Tua backing up at times, see end of round 8.

Neither did Byrd, who schooled Tua, he basically nullified Tua's right hook with his left glove.

And clinched , and evaded punches along the ropes by feinting and moving and also fled for his dear life .

I never said they fought alike, I'm talking about the quality of their defense.

As I said , defense alone , Byrd's was better .
But what can you do ? styles matter.

Tua just failed to knock him out , and like in many other cases , the judges chose to give it to Byrd.

Tua's main punches were the right and left hook. Tyson was adept at slipping both of those punches. He also would of been countering Tua as well

As I said (again) Tua had 3 nice late stoppages , how many nice late stoppages does Tyson have ?
Tyson had trouble with Holyfield whom his only advantage against Tua is reach , but he never used his reach against Tyson and rarely used it in general. How would he fare against Tua whom hits harder and has a better punch resistance than Holyfield .
Tyson managed to hit Holyfield but couldn't put him away and was stopped himself. Now imagine Tua with his better punching power and punch resistance .
