Young emerged as a contender at a time when Smokey Joe was on his way out.So no,Smokey Joe did not avoid Young like he did Lyle.

He beat Lyle in '75, a time when you claimed Frazier could have fought Lyle. He also drew with Shavers the year before. In fact, Young's run along that time frame is even more impressive than Lyle's when you add the win OVER Lyle to it. So if you say he didn't avoid Young there is NO WAY he avoided Lyle. You've just been pwned again son.

You are aware that you have continually avoided the timeline I've presented over and over, which puts any question of Frazier "ducking" to rest, right? You are aware that you have stated Frazier did not avoid Young during your specific time frame, but did avoid Lyle even though he lost to Quarry and Young, right? How and when did he deserve a shot against Frazier? I've already outlined the time line and reasons this fight was never able to happen with Joe. Shavers is another fighter who doesn't fit into the time line for Frazier. As far as Lyle knocking down Foreman.....big deal, it proves nothing. Jimmy Young had George on the canvas to, should we consider him a puncher? Better yet, maybe we should start claiming Frazier ducked him too.

Frazier was washed up in 75 and at the end of his rope. watch his 4 round destruction of Jimmy Ellis in I believe 70, then go back and watch the rematch in 75. Joe looked like a different fighter and IMO while he could still hang with some great fighters, he was a shell of his former greatness.
