  • Foreman's Greatness, With Out The Comeback?

Lets say Foreman were to have never come out of retirement and just reitred for good in 1977 after his lost to Young.

His record would of been 45-2. With his notable wins being Frazier x2, Norton, Chuvalo, & Ron Lyle. And his two defeats being against Ali & Young.

How great would he have been remembered? Would he still be a ATG? Were would he stand on a ATG list?

He still had a great record but he would forever be known as a man who had his heart taken and never recovered.

If Frazier is an ATG, then you would logically have to put Foreman there as well.

Foreman helped Ali out a great deal by destroying Frazier.....

I sometimes wonder how Ali- Frazier 2 wouldve turned out if Frazier never suffered that beating to foreman.

              What punchers did he avoid?

It would have made his resume similar to that of Sonny Liston and I don't think it would have effected his greatness to much.. Probably bottom 5 as opposed to top 5 on most lists..

definitely an atg regardless of his comeback.but his comeback definitely enhanced his legacy.i believe he couldve been the most dominany heavy ever if he never left

Still an all-time great in my book.

He was the hardest punching Heavyweight Champion ever!

And not many Heavyweight Champions could have beaten him.

Still in the top 5 Heavyweights ever in my book.
