He was a right grumpy old bastard during the barrera-Kevin Kelley fight. He went out of his way to tear the fight down and question Kelley's credentials at that present time(perhaps justified as many others thought it was a mismatch).
foreman also questioned barrera claim to being the best featherweight simply because he didn't hold one of the sanctioning body titles

Yeah, just watched Toney-Barkley for the first time. He wasn't watching the same fight everyone else was. I like George and all, but he just wouldn't drop the idea that Barkley was going to punch his way back into the fight. Even Lampley was audibly annoyed at the end of the fight, he was like "ok, George, we get it." Even in the first round, Barkley would land a glancing body blow and Toney would come back with six punches and George would go "Toney doesn't want to get into exchanges with a man as strong as Iran!"

Yeah, I don't think that George gets that NOT everyone is the hardest puncher ever...I kept thinking "George...you know that this guy is not you, right?" It's funny that you said it like that because we had exactly the same thought.

Hopkins is schooling the **** out of Tito for the whole fight and George is like "Hopkins needs to be careful, he's playing right into Trinidad's plan."
We all know how that ended.

I recently watched the Cotto-Juuko fight on HBO(YVKO) and boy Big George was on fire that night........he said that with his experience Juuko should have no problems just outboxing a 9 fight novice like Cotto when in fact Juuko was KO 5 of his 6 losses and lost like 4 of his last 6 or something like that.
