If this poll was in the nsb it would be the opposite, good to see the history section has built up a resistance to hype!

The worst is still Floyd Mayweather who horribly ducked Miguel Cotto( and margarito). Floyd can talk all the **** he wants about Pacquiao but he had the balls to do what he didn't want no part of: get in the ring with Miguel Cotto.

I like Floyd but i'm being honest with it; Floyd is jealous that Pacquiao had the balls to do something he was scared of and was successful at it. That's why Floyd picked on the bigger and louder dog in the block to make a statement and shut the medias down: SHANE MOSLEY.

That doesn't change the high level of su****ion i have on Pacquiao who refused random blood test to prove his accomplishments have been done in a clean way. You don't refuse that kind of money. Either Pacquiao thought he wasn't ready to take on Floyd yet, either he's not clean.

With that said, i'm sad that Floyd changed his ways. Back in the days he was calling people out left and right, James Toney style. He was like " Oscar stop ducking me, fight me and don't quit" or " I'm gonna fight Cotto at some point" and **** like that.
I'm sad he suddenly changed around 2005-2006.

I picked Roy Jones, but whoever picked Oscar is an idiot. Unless they mean he cherry picked the best fighters in the world. Then he's right on target.

Exactly. Love him or hate him (and lets face it: Oscar IS a polarizing figure) you can't fault the man for his resume. De La Hoya fought a who's who from Lightweight to Middle. Rather refreshing in this day and age.

I never understood the hate for Oscar. I wasn't really following boxing during his heyday, but he's a good fighter with a lot of courage who fought everyone. Why the hate? It can't have all been from the fishnets...

That explains your lack of knowledge in the Duran fantasy fight - you haven't followed him in his prime.

And you do know the fishnets were just photoshops, no different from what you can find of Pacquiao, and Mayweather, etc... right?

No, no, I've watched the fights (watching the Trinidad fight right now, actually), but I didn't watch all the press conferences and such. That's where a fighter usually earns the hatred of fans. People would be fine with Floyd's style if he didn't act like such a douche.

And I didn't know that the fishnets were photoshopped. But someone might be fooled as I was because people act like it's true.

It's the "Golden Boy" stigma: Golden Boys are ALWAYS hated by a certain segment of boxing fans (and writers). Ray Leonard had that Golden Boy tag too and he was hated for it as well. It is what it is. Now personally I like Oscar and dislike Leonard (not because Ray was a "Golden Boy" but because I find him a grade-A azzhole). That being said, I'd never dream of saying Leonard didn't deserve his high standing as a fighter: He was one of the true greats and his noxious personality can't detract from that. I think Oscar is a borderline great who could have been a solid great if he hadn't made some questionable decisions in the ring.
