Now can you please stop hi******* threads and trying to make them about Lennox Lewis. This thread is about rising stars, not has-been phony champs who ducked all contenders, took step aside money, and was stripped of every belt for refusing to fight better fighters than he.

You're the one that brought up Lennox Lewis tough guy.:WTF??:

As for Khan, he's hella talented for sure, and working with Roach is only going to help him improve. But since he has a world title, I usually exclude him from my list of up and coming stars, like I do Juanma Lopez.

I'm a little intrigued with Tavoris Cloud as well. Kinda thought he shoulda got Woods outta there, but it was a good win for him nonetheless. With Hopkins, Tarver, Johnson and Jones over the hill, there's Dawson and then............ guys like Cloud, Pascal and maybe down the road, Cleverly, that need to prove themselves.

His chin is much stronger at 140

I think the chin thing gets blown out of proportion. He got hit with a good shot, what can you do?

Michael Spinks got floored with one hit, does he have a weak chin?
DLH went down to B Hop one one punch, does he have a weak gut?

Sometimes you get hit, as Oscar said after the Hopkins fight, "Right on the button" and there's not much you can do about it.

Kahn will beat Paulie, and where he goes from there I don't know, but I think his chin is better than the garbage that NSB will have everybody believe.
How can you compare the Tyson-Spinks and Hopkins-DLH fights to Khan-Prescott?

Spinks was knocked out by one of the hardest heavyweight punchers of all-time. Khan was knocked out cold by an unknown journeyman.

As for DLH, it wasn't a punch on the chin so I don't really see why you would use that example. Body punches hurt more than head punches and if a punch lands perfectly it can do some serious damage on any fighter. Not to mention that DLH was coming up in weight. And that extra weight wasn't pure muscle.

I'm a fan of Khan, but I'm not gonna ignore the obvious.

Bute is in line but he a top fighter already, Gamboa if his defense continues to improve. Alexander has the basics down packed, very subtle with his defense and delivery of his punches. These three fighters can improve even more and become great. Martinez can have a good run but he is 35

My point is it's important to note HOW and WHEN you get hit.

50 cent got shot 9 times and lived, Selena got shot ONCE and died.

Same with punches! You get hit in the wrong place at the wrong time and anybody can go down! He has lost 1 fight, let's not jump on the glass chin bandwagon, fella's.

lol. Getting shot is nothing like getting hit with a punch.

Khan got hit on the chin and went out cold. Prescott is not a serious knockout puncher. His other knockouts, besides Khan, were against bums.

You must be missing my point, I'm not sure how else to explain it.

Would you agree that Lennox Lewis has a glass jaw as well?

I know what point you were hoping to make, but the example you used is a bit ridiculous and it's not valid in the case of Khan. Anyways, here's another way of looking at the situation:

Two fighters get hit by the same opponent. One of them can get hit with a lot of clean punches and last the fight, but the other one can get hit once and be knocked out. What does that mean? It means the fighter who lasted the fight has a good chin, and the person that got hit once and was knocked out has a bad chin.

After maybe two punches that landed from Prescott, Khan was on the canvas. In his next fight after Khan, Prescott fought a guy named Humberto Toledo. Toledo didn't have a good chin, but he took all of Prescott's punches for 10 rounds until being DQ'd.

So if Toledo, who didn't have a good chin, was able to take all of Prescott's punches, what does that say about Khan?

As for Lewis, I wouldn't say he had a glass chin, but it wasn't that great, either.
