I do think he relied too much on physical ability to be able to do much damage if he chooses to come back at 38/39. He's likely to lose to the super 6 winner or Bute at this stage. Probably Froch would be his best bet, but he should take a tune up first.
If he could make Froch pay for what he's been saying, that'd be a fight I'd watch. I agree, though, I don't know how well he could do if he were to come back.

How do you have a debate with somebody who says Joe is a top 50 ATG?

Not enough time in a life.

Skills-wise, he's around 40-60, I said. Resume-wise, not even close. But he was a weird southpaw with lightning hands, great movement and incredible stamina. So what exactly makes me so ******, Carlos?

I'd rank him as the greatest super middleweight of all-time, but the division hasn't really had many great fighters. I wouldn't rank him as a P4P all-time great, though.

Don't get me wrong, it's very impressive to have made 21 defenses of a world title. But most of those defenses weren't against great opposition.

What matters is not age but how prime the fighter is, Roy was passed it.

If you go 13 years without legitimately loosing one fight, and then loose three fights in a row, it's not a coincidence, your past it.

              The lacy win was good.

I take a lot of things into consideration when saying hes an ATG. For me its this. He was in top shape for every fight. He had a phenominal work rate. He beat a very healthy and capable Hopkins. He whipped ole Roy like he was supposed to. People get caught up in KOs instead of masterful skill. He could have given anyone from any era fits. Hell 46-0 aint bad proof. Whether his weight division in new or not he dominated with excellent boxing. Did he dodge anyone that you know of? Im sure you have Duran and Hearns up there pretty high and he would school either of the two.

Duran was a LW, Hearns was a WW so comparing them to a SMW Calzaghe is abit silly. Consider that a prime Hopkins isn't a top 20 ATG and he nearly lost to a 43 year old shell of a Bernard Hopkins.

Also I think it's abit silly to say he was the best ever at SMW. Prime Roy Jones Jr. has a death grip on greatest SMW of all time and I don't think anyone is all that close.
